Capabilities of LunaPack Printed Cardboard Packaging

Pre-press equipment includes the following:

  • Pentium IV Xeon and Macintosh G4, G5 graphic stations
  • Art-Pro specialised software which enables us to monitor and control the process of deposition and imposition of different colours, trapping, different Pantone colours combination with the triad.
  • Score and creasing box construction design system.
  • CTP Basis Print unit is used in the printing plates manufacturing process. It enables us to expose an offset plate directly; the result is that traditional photoform production can be excluded from the repro process. The process is fully automated with only the highest quality printing plates being produced.
  • Color management system includes spectrophotometer and ink formulation software by GretagMacbeth (Switzerland).
  • IGT test printing machine.

Printing equipment includes:

  • KBA Rapida 162-6-L+L offset sheet printing machine (Germany). The size of a printed sheet is 1120x 1620 mm. The machine comprises of 6 printing units and 2 varnishing sections (chamber blade technology), IR and UV drying systems in-line.
  • KBA Rapida 105-6-L offset sheet printing machine (Germany). The size of a printed sheet is 720x1050mm. The machine comprises of 6 printing units, a varnishing and IR drying system.

After-printing finishing equipment:

  • Die cutting presses – Two Bobst 1600 ER (the size of processed sheet is 1115x1600mm) and two Bobst 102 E (size of processed sheet is 720x1020 mm)(Switzerland). Simultaneous relief or blind stamping is available in one run along with the die-cutting process.
  • Bobst BMA FoilMaster 102 stamping machine (Switzerland) (size of processed sheet is 720x1020mm) enables us to provide high quality foil stamping.
  • A Stock machine provides for backing of corrugated cardboard sheets with dimensions up to 1250x1640mm and thickness up to 7.0 mm.
  • Heiber+Schroeder WPS 1100 equipment allows us to paste in plastic windows for two production lines simultaneously; the film can be glued to the entire outer surface of a box, if required.
  • Two Bobst Media 100 folding–gluing machines and one Bobst Alpina 110 machine (Switzerland) providing gluing to the products surface of various shapes. The machines are equipped with a system of automated acceptance of products. Bobst Alpina 110 machines enables us to glue cardboard packages of whatever complex shapes are required. During the process a procedure of pre-folding is arranged. Spot gluing is performed with extrusive guns.
  • Holes for spiral binding are punched with a RENZ SUPER 700 perforator (maximal size of punched hole is up to 700.00mm)

Finished products are packed either in corrugated cardboard boxes, or palletised according to their type and size. PR 1800 Roller Press is used for making corrugated cardboard (maximal dimensions of a box are up to 1250x2000mm). The palletised goods are additionally film-wrapped with WMS standard wrapping machine (Czech Republic).

Auxiliary equipment:

The modern stamping forms manufacturing equipment, is used for a trouble-free operation of the die-cutting machines at the stamping bay.

High accuracy, flexible Gerber Profile milling machine allows for processing of different materials and enables us to produce various stamps with a single machine tool. Easy Bender machine prepares the blades to be assembled in the stamping forms.

The Stoma equipment is used for making magnesium-stamping forms for hot and cold stamping machines for small and medium-sized print-runs. For large-scale print-runs brass stamping forms are used. They are made with the MECA numeric high-tech engraving machine. 3-D engraving makes it possible to create complicated stamping forms with very small elements and a 3D image.
